How to Help out Haiti in Boston

The mainstream media no longer seems to be showcasing the devastation that is going on in Haiti, but that doesn't mean that the issue has been resolved. Actually far from it, and there are still ways you can help impact the lives of the Haitian Community right here in Boston.

From February 8th -21st several Boston area locations along with FUNTOSALUD International will be collecting donations to help Haiti rebuild. The locations are as follows:
Some of the items they are collecting include:
  • First Aid Supplies
  • NEW underwear
  • Shoes (particularly for children)
  • Baby supplies (bottles, diapers, etc)
  • Batteries
  • Flashlights
  • Tents
  • New Bed Sheets
  • New Towels
  • School supplies (Notebooks, pencils, book-bags, etc.)
  • Personal Hygiene items
Of course you can still make monetary donations or even volunteer directly for the 2010 Border Health/Mission DR/Haiti from April 17-30, 2010. For more information on how to directly volunteer, email volunteer@funtosaludintl.org.

Millions have lost everything in the quake – homes, food, jobs! For the next 12 months, the World Food Programme says 2 million people will need critical food assistance! If you want to help and learn more about the crisis response, go to: http://wfp.org/crisis/haiti> or you can text FRIENDS to 90999 to make a $5 donation.

nice post. I was reading the New Yorker this morning on the way to work, and they had a story profiling one woman's experience in Haiti... and the descriptions were terrifying and heartbreaking. Makes me want to do (and give) more.

I’m looking for a new job now. Yesterday I decided to write my resume-I know that it is a guarante of the successful search. So I decided make it according to the rules. I looked up at several sites and then came across the resumemine.com. There I found all the information I needed – from the definition of the CV up to the self-check. Having examined the existing types of resumes with examples and detailed recommendations how to write them I chose the most suitable one for me. All the work took me about half an hour and now I have the best resume that will surely lead me to that very job interview.
